Let children have a say in how to conserve our planet
We would like to introduce the new, innovative environmental workshops for children and young people from Creative Conservation. The workshops are designed for young people who have an interest in animals, wildlife, natural history, the environment and conservation.
These workshops provide a platform for teaching children about their local environment, its wildlife, the threats it faces and how they can help conserve it through the creative and inspiring medium of film making, journalism and media.
The children choose a specialist subject that they feel strongly about and learn how to tackle sometimes difficult, conflicting points of view. |
The young people will be encouraged to involve local people and stories within their work, work as a team, communicate effectively, make difficult decisions and develope their creative thinking processes. During the production process they will meet, interview and learn from environmental professionals. All completed work is broadcast, screened, aired, published or viewable by a larger audience on the internet.
Within this creative environment we encourage and develope any skills and talents that the children already have, for example presenting, singing, writing and performing music, dancing, story telling, photography, voice over, writing, drawing, arts and crafts, interviewing and any other skills.
